A call to Corporate Traveller for help began the process of finding a solution. After multiple calls, the airline which owned the ticket was found and a flight to Melbourne booked for the following evening. Next a bed was needed and 25 hotels later, one with an available room was finally secured.

But on Saturday morning a call from the after hours team alerted the travel manager to further client changes. The travel manager knew the bookings like the back of her hand, but at the time she was on a boat - a long way from her desk. Would the crucial travel changes be made in time to ensure the conference went off without a hitch? Find out what happened next...
Weathering the storm together
When a dust storm unexpectedly closed Sydney airport, thousands of travellers were left in the lurch. It didn’t help that it was a Friday afternoon and two Corporate Traveller clients desperately needed to get home to Brisbane for an important family event the following morning.
The obvious answer was to secure a flight from a nearby airport that was open, but on a busy Friday evening not one seat was available. Even hiring a car and driving 900 kms wasn’t an option, as all hire cars were already booked.
Finally the last two seats on a flight out of Tamworth airport were secured - but to get there the client had a six hour drive ahead of them. Would they make it? See how it all unfolded...
